Herman designs for "The Electric State" seen on Netflix. For a year & a half, I worked as concept artist, "remote" for the amazing team at Digital Domain. My role here was to take the existing Herman design and make him functional/believable. Joints that could support him, that could lift things. How does the 4' Herman get in and out of the 20' Herman head?..that had to be designed here also. Add in the power-plant design, damage, graffiti, decals and a welding torch apparatus. Special thanks to Joel Behrens, Alex Millet, Chis Elke for the gig! The movie, directed by the Russo brothers, is the most expensive Netflix movie to date and is based on the graphic novel, "The Electric State" by Simon Stålenhag.
